just a little update...

Assalamualaikum all~

When talking about themes, yeah well- I believe I have put majority of the 'favourites' on this site. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to date.. I have not seen any changes in wedding designs and themes. Nothing much we can do with Songket and Laces, perhaps? Maybe so. I have seen people's creativity in wanting, shall I say, 'unique' wedding cakes but mostly ofcourse preferred white and a mix with a another colour. Hantaran decos are still the ones with those white trays, silver boxes, small cages and lapiks... referring to Brunei only yeah~

Cranky? No.. I'm just voicing out my opinions. I'm guessing, nowadays.. hantaran deco boutiques need to go not just 'outside the box' but most IMPORTANTLY, ALL the TO-BE-WEDs to simply go beyond your wildest imagination! Provided ofcourse, charges for the service is ..'berpatutan' .

One guy really impressed me with his works, well... it's a start lah ah, I've been meaning to search for his blog and FB and now, baru tah saya terjumpa. Though I am not so sure whether he does it on his own or a family business. I'm sorry... hehe but you may find his blog link on the right, D'Crystal Crown ..... ...don't know what to put

Assalamualaikum ladiesss~~~

How is everyone?? I hope everything goes well... Like I said, October's a busy month for me hence the slowness with my updates. My internet's a no-no at my place so basically, I can only go online at the in-laws. Two weeks ago, I was away for a short working trip. It was exhausting but nonetheless, 'memorable' in a way~ *lol* Only my friend J knows the story...

But before I flew off, I did go to the Wedding Exhibition (think it was on Friday) and guess what? I was surprised that not many B2Bs were there. In fact, both me and Mr. A plang kna pikir kan kahwin~ And not to disappoint them, we went on and played the act! Hehehehe! Sometimes it does surprise me when strangers thought that we (me and the mister) aren't married yet. Kadang-kadang, ada jua the elders giving us the 'kanak-kanak masani ani nda tau malu' look... ah well, take it as a compliment!

the quietness of the expo last time, even RBA booths were kosong and believe you me, the tickets were at an unexpected price...

In case everyone's still wondering, yeap... I'm still the same 'ol, same 'ol~ Missing all the ladies with all their updates and random chats at chatango above... mana kamuuuuu????!~~ :(

Salam Jumaat to everyone..

Today will be the day most couples decide to have their Nikah. Be it at the mosque or at home, us brides always want to make the most of it. I once had a plan to have a mini pelamin for this special event but due to seating location, I can't implement it. Was thinking to have something decorated like everything below ani......

With extra flowers, pillows, rose petals and NO butterflies
(no offence to those yg suka butterflies hehehe)

but sadly, arh my place the big window is facing the Qiblat hence, if me simpan my seat there.. I'll be sitting behind the Imam and face to face with the hubby and that's totally wrong!

I once asked my Dad, why this is so? He said, sama mcm orang lakibini sembahyang berjemaah, isteri dibelakang kan? Inda jua kamu kan face to face each other... ? A simple answer indeed. *toink*

Another model I had in mind... PINK and white... simple but have to sewa the frame lgi. Yg awal2 td atu bleh buat sendiri ;) so take ur pick!

A creation of your own. A white lining chiffon is available at any textile shops, the leaves say.. arh Kedai $1.80. Flowers, can either be bought or rent at any flower / wedding boutiques and instead of spotlights, u may opt for floating candles .. voila!

Some even just go for drapes hanging here and there 'ala2 A Thousand and one Night' theme... *sigh* I guess, the next person in line (in the family) to get married will be really lucky to have me around hehehe .. paning kepala my Aunty kli? No? *lol*

... just my rants

A short update from me so as to tell everyone that yes, I'm still sane. Preparation is going on smooth *Alhamdulillah* dearest fiancé has gotten 3/4 of his Invitation cards ready, reason being... the 1/4 got smudged? For whatever reason I don't know.. prolly ada ink spillage arah the printer (thinking positive here) For his side of the family senang sikit cos got list sudah from my future sis-in-law's guest list (her big day's end of the month..) buyuk kan? Tinggal mikirkan name lists for his friends saja lagi...

As for mine? they're ready to be distributed sudah.. hehe~ My closest friends have got theirs' and a few of my juniors... still need to give some prolly by this weekend *Insya-Allah* tinggal sikit2 saja kan menambah2 and yes, the office... will get the invitation cards out early July nanti insya-Allah... I am still thinking of the pelamin theme for our events.. prolly will use the same pelamin saja for the 3 events, play with the lighting and deco saja... amacam? should be ok, no?... pening, pening, peningggg~~~~

I will most definitely go over to my tailor's boutique this p.m to check on things.. oh yes, which reminds me.. I need to call the furniture to arrange for furniture delivery. since flooring will be done this Friday... payah bh, my only free times are Fridays and Sundays... macam haaaaaaiiihhhh~~~ I have to check my baju lgi, confirm pelamin lgi, Dad will nego my Sanding day catering this Saturday so that should be ok... for Nikah and bebadak catering..it'll be catering kg saja... makanan kg kli ah nyum2!!!

My room.. I need to, clean my 'chandelier' before the furniture comes in (mesti berkilat kilau2an... it's a 24 yrs old chandelier...classy~!) sudah atu baru th I get the furniture delivered then installation of bedroom curtains and bedsheets.. would want them properly fixed into my room latest 3 weeks before the big day .. yes (just to ventilate ..bau baru~~) I want my room bau air freshener saja or maybe some fresh flowers nanti ah... ?? hmmmm we'll see... ada saja caranya tu! Yatah macam now.. it's mid-June sudah.. I have to get all those done in 3 weeks.. nope inda banyak masa??

Delivery for sanding doorgifts was yesterday.. yatah family room kami packed with boxes masani... macam org baru pindah rumah th jua usulnya *lol* my oh my..... 'factory processing time th lgi tu.. but that'll be in July lh.. *sigh* speak of which need to apply for leave ni nanti.. I'm gonna take a loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggg break.... don't know what the plan cos everyweekend of my leave atu mmg my wedding functions saja from Nikah aaaaall the way to Muleh 7 hari... so probably will definitely try to squeeze in some short honeymoon-ing in between. When there's a will, there's a way kan???

First and foremost,

SELAMAT MENAIKKI JINJANG PELAMIN TO CN and CK ..

This little Bride-to-Be is wishing them both a happy wedded life sehingga ke akhir hayat.. Insya-Allah *Amin* She looks so lawa today.. and I was told that the pelamin and hall decorations was from Roz Flower Boutique. *Ooh la la~* Mesti drop by kesana ni nanti... *errr* we'll see...~ All this week ani sudah I've been thinking about pelamin, pelamin, pelamin... mcm heeeyyy~ I already got mine booked what??! Slots booked but pelamin not confirmed... hehehe cos I promised the Pelamin boutique owner that I'll be coming over lgi sometime in June.. and now, yeah it's June!!! *winks*

Went to the place with dear fiancé last Thursday and my God, both of us were most definitely enchanted by this new dais design yg the place offer!!! Yg kami banar2 mau ada ani baaahhhh..... *gasp* Macam past few night we were discussing to change our pelamins due to *ahem* running out of ideas on how to redecorating them.. and instead we both set ourselves on admiring the few new pelamins I surfed on the Net.. mcm aaaaarrgghhh WE WANT THAT!!! We want ours to looks simple but yet still soothing and elegant to look at? Cemana tu ah.... The other day was like hmmm... we want this but kain mesti ani...no, no, no not chiffon..kainnya mesti some sort of satin cemani?? dpt kh tu???.. I was like, whoaaa~ kami ani demanding kh? *lol* Well, honestly speaking we're most definitely trying to get what we want as close as how we want them...pebaik th inda exact? Eh no.. mesti exact bit with a twist hehehe

I always wanted a white pelamin with roooossseeesss~~ Yes, it's the IN thing masani I guess... Roses, I mean, mcm byk sudah but both me and dear fiancé wanted the same thing for our pelamin with a twist ofcourse.. yatah kami ani~ ... He's like 'Sayang.. if ada pelamin ani d Brunei, it's gonna be WOW tu..' And since we found it at the shop where we rent ours'.. maka dengan itu, diisytiharkan pertukaran booking bagi pelamin mempelai Raja dan Ratu Sehari ini... *lol* I'm trying to combine 2 designs ormaybe 3 designs in one..

Hmmmm, me and dear fiancé is still trying to figure out on how to create our wedding dais.... tunggu dan lihat, I'm pretty sure we've gathered banyak ideas dh by surveying looottss of pelamin pics *hehe* It's only a matter of whether I want my pelamin sama saja for the 3 events (Nikah, Berbedak and Sanding) OR Nikah lain, Berbedak & Sanding sama? So tell me.. what's ur pick?? Sama or different??

Thursday
- FINALLY!!! I get to see the samples for my timber flooring... good thing I attended the CLEX exhibition @ ICC last time. Dapat jua special promotional price.. *sigh* The thing is material belum lgi masuk Brunei, so... have to wait for the materials to come in and then pay deposits and then suruh install~ *yay!!* By then prolly it's June.. and my curtains pun siap dh kli tu *hopefully*..so can ask them to pasang jua... mid-June, my furniture will come in.. or maybe end of June?

Friday
- Again.. FINALLY!!! Got my invitation card sorted out. Paid my deposits and Insya-Allah will be ready in saay... 2 weeks time? At least by early June nanti bleh sort out the invitation cards.. siapa yg d bagi full.. siapa yang inda.. to print out the guests names lagi... boh mcm busy June ani??

Sunday
- Celebrated Mother's Day with the family. My sis lanja and dear fiancé was invited. Decided to do my shopping for Kain Baju Melayu and Sinjangs for Hantaran and Alhamdulillah.. got them all at a very good and discounted prices!! ;) cool eh? And uniforms for the Gents in the family pun me dpt dah... so, that's sorted out~ *thumbsup* Shopping mode was definitely ON!! Hahaha.. rupanya Nazmi had a special promo for Mother's Day..patutlh semua 30-60% discountnya~ Got a B$133 kain spasang for just $50!!! Mana nda dear fiancé mcm.. 'Bah bali tia~ for my Hantaran..' hehehe iskiness!!!!

- Wedding rings are ready and so went to check it out jua today~ Lawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! *sigh* I was in the 'moment' d kdai td atu... hehehe so we ask them to keep it safe for us until someday near to our wedding day :) :) '.. then we'll keep it forever..'

- We've the chance to go to this flower boutique at the Centerpoint (yg d belakang) Apparentlyyyyy... they have services for hantaran deco AS WELL AS modern concept pelamins! A little suggestion for those yg belum cnfirmkan their pelamins and hantarans k? But for hantaran..gangsa nda plg ada tu.. just hantaran deco and rental of pelamins and deco for halls / houses and bedrooms! ;)

As for me, everything is going on well and yes, well sorted.. mudah2an jua June/July follow-up sessions nanti going on fine.. insya-Allah *amin* Can't wait to see the finished products of my baju(s) hehe...
