... The Beginning

Assalamualaikum everyone,

Remembering my entry on hantarans in 2009 which got me thinking. I have always wanted to do my own hantaran back then (but due to my bz-ness, and yeah..don't want to spend much on my hantarans cos we can spend more AFTER we got married..which is true and still valid until today and insya-Allah, the future) and with me commuting to work everyday adapting to married life and then kids! *lol* The things just keep on coming right?

So my husband asked me one day, 'when are you ready to give your magic hands a go at hantaran arrangements? I know you can do it and I believe you can...' Those words, walaupun simple as it may sound has really made me thinking. That's my husband and he is ALWAYS pushing me to get me back on track with my creative side.... especially with baking, diys and other things (because honestly I've lost track on some for some reason *lol* even blogging!)

I guess it's true what I ever told my husband. I'm a planner, and I enjoy planning. And I thank Allah for giving me the chance to be part of the planning committee for my cousin's wedding last December and opening my eyes so that, yeah- I should do this. I shall give it a go... and insyaAllah, the best decision we ever make is the decision to try right?

Ok, so dengan kalimah Bismillahirrahmanirrahim... saya dengan sukacitanya, mengumumkan permulaan bagi 'Blooming Little Bows' providing you hantaran arrangement services especially now that we are sooooo IN with the wooden pallet trays. I have always loved the hantaran designs made using the pallet trays, the rustic, chic and minimalist ideas for hantaran. Simple and elegant! Ok, ok.. enough with the suspense... here's one I actually arrange by myself.... #hantaranrustic #rustichantaran #BLBHantaran2016

I won't be joining any bridal showcase or wedding festival 'yet' ... saya budak baru belajar okay? incase you all are asking, just contact me directly at my e-mail yes? or simply follow me on our IG : @bloominglittlebows

Oh yes -- early confirmed bookers will receive further % on the introductory rate stated.

Sooooo... tunggu apa lagi?!!!! I'm waaaiiiitinggggg~~~~~~

weekend gathering and labellings...

Assalamualaikum,

Despite the bz-ness we have managed to arrange for a family gathering (which we seldomly do except for tahlil and such) and was very happy that we have managed to finish packing all  the doorgifts for acara berbedak and sanding reception.

If you read my previous posts back when I planned for my wedding, yes, I loved to add some DIY touch to weddings.. so for my dear cousin, what I did was to custom water bottle labels for her. The bottles  they want to put on the VIP tables, and to be given for the tausyeh and dzikir group as well.

Designed by yours truly :) #BLBlabels

Then it got me thinking, did this before for birthdays..and again for my cousins' wedding. Why not make this thing something I can provide for everyone!!!! Not just for weddings but also for other functions (Birthdays, Mandi Belawat, Weddings... you name it!) Would you want our team to do this for you? I'm serious ne ah  (Please say yes... and if you do, can email me : ann.j1010@gmail.com)  It would be an honour to prep water bottles for your functions.

Minimum order : 24 bottles (300ml or 600ml or both) and our service includes, purchase, labelling and delivery (f.o.c for Brunei-Muara district and additional charges for Tutong dan Belait District) I have yet to think of a way to cater for people in Temburong.. any ideas?? I can only think of arranging meet ups di tambing.

Anyhoooooots, we're all set for the big day.... which is in 2 weeks time. Semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan.

Until next entry,
xoxo

we are the best!!

Assalamualaikum all...

It has beena busy busy week for dear 'ol me. Juggling with my field work, exams and be the so-called wedding planner for my dear Kaka.

Would like to express my gratitude to all those involve in the team and somehow, felt very grateful with the existence of social media aaaand Whatsapp! Proud to announced to all, that WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED ALMOST 90% of the wedding preps. Believe it or not?!! We made custom invitation cards, bought all the doorgifts (and even had one customade for her solemnization ceremony nanti), booked a hall, mosque, we managed to booked her dream pelamin, caterings for both events are all sorted, walkie talkies, tausyeh, dzikir group... photogs, videographers yeh, well basically everything lah! *patsmeselfontheback* Give us a big hand of applause!! So yes, anyone wishing to seek help for their upcoming wedding is very the most welcome to contact me if you wish at ann.j1010@gmail.com

I have something coming up in 2016 and I can't wait... Semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan dan beroleh keberkatan jua dalam menjayakannya nanti... *Amin*

Alhamdulillah for everything lah... you see, bila sudah ada niat kan kahwin atu, better disegerakan and insya-Allah, dipermudahkan segalanya. Some may want to customade their attire... customade this and that but yeah- that's up to the individual. Nowadays, banyak sudah yang lawa2 the songket and everything. So if you're like the type, #justgoaheadwiththeweddingandbedonewithit ? It's much easier to rent it out. Much cheaper and cost savings! Oh, now THAT reminds me that I need to update the excel file on budgetting I downloaded years ago when I got married. My dear cousin have yet to decide on her bajus, accessories and MuA (managed to get only one.. well- she doesnt have a choice here...ramai MuA booked all December! Ani pun kira lucky jua ne, I doooo hoped she hired her.

Got our pakaian sekayu sent to Minah for tailoring (honestly- I don't know dimana di Bandar ani to do tailoring yang bisai... sent one to Minah Exquisute and fell in love with their workmanship) Bought the boy;s kain baju melayu (we have yet to send these for  tailoring coooossss, our usual tailor inda lagi ada di BN, yatah.. mcm everything is new to us ni this 2015 and here we are still juggling with our Bandar life since January..tau2 sudah tia the end of the year #masabergerakpantas

Until next time,
xoxo

It's the Pazzion!!

Honestly, I love the heel shown in this advert... very bridal like don'tcha think? I actually grabbed the pic from ranoadidas.com (yes, yes guilty ol' me..) but one can only admire the heel soooo much!! I really need to drop by to the place one day~ Watchout ShoeLovers, I see a competition now...

Another competition I see in town would be... Firoz Jaya and YMRM, with the opening of the new Firoz Jaya Textile Palace in Kg. Delima.. I'd say, the laces are quite a *thumbsup* but ofcourse nothing beats the idea of shopping for laces at Gulati's, Euro Moda, Jakel or someplace else like.. ermmm, Dubai or Bandung, Indonesia! *sigh* The idea made me feel like I wanted to get one myself... I'm thinking peach?? Maybe.. just maybe~

Anyhoots, as I was surfing through the Net, I've found something informative to share with you ladies... have a go and read this...

When you begin planning your wedding, one of the first decisions you will have to make is what colours to choose. This decision has to be made before you start thinking about your wedding flowers, bridesmaid dresses and overall reception style. Here are 7 colour choices that will be top of the list for 2011 weddings.

1: Red Hot Cherry with Luscious Lime: This may seem an odd mix when you first hear these colours said together, and although it is a bold statement, when these colours are combined right they create a striking impact on any wedding reception.

2: Coral and Grey: Beautifully subtle. These colours are going to be a big hit for weddings abroad in 2011. This mixture of soft, muted colours combine to produce an exquisite wedding theme sure to wow all who attend.

3: Hot Pink: Vibrant hot pink began growing in popularity in weddings a few years ago and there seems to be no halting this eye catching trend. Balance the pink well with sharp white and dazzling silver to have a show stopping reception.

4: Chocolate Mocha Browns with Soft Blush Pinks: Chocolate browns and pinks have been a very popular colour combination in recent years with the brown being the base colour. These colours create a relaxed setting that is modern and fashionable. A chic choice for any of today’s couples.

5: Tiffany Blue with Pale Aqua: Tiffany Blue is a very elegant colour, classic yet modern. Teaming this with light aqua shades and whites will make your wedding cool and refreshing, crisp and contemporary. If you want to add another colour to really create an impact try some bright green floral in your bouquet and centrepieces.

6: Shades of Orange: Oranges in all shades have always been a very popular choice for autumn and fall weddings. However in 2011 orange is going to be a hot colour throughout the entire year. Orange can be used in many ways. When paired with browns and golds it creates a warm sophisticated reception, however team it with spring greens and you have yourself a fantastically fresh, contemporary style.

7: Black is the new…Black: Elegance and sophistication are always created through the use of black. A crisp black and white combination is a sure fire hit to creating a stunning wedding reception. Add in some sparkle and silver through your accessories for that the icing on the cake.

GREY

Salam everyone,

I'm not so sure as to when to continue my wedding posts. I have tons of articles and tips to share with all!! (aside from my random updates about my current well-being that is~) I was thinking of posting this on the 2nd week of Syawal.. but then again, it's been bz here and there.. everyone gets the drill I bet? :D

Thought I'll start my weddings entries with "Theme". Something for 2011 couples I guess, cos if kan buat for this year would be too rushing kan? Hehehe~

So here's a sample of invitation card specially designed in gray with white inserts and black writings. Some people love to have their invites tied with ribbons, so why not make something different like this one?

a sample of grey hantaran

I am soo sooo soooooo in love with this dress. It's simple but will definitely be an eye catcher. I love a simple monotone beading works, hence my wedding dress last time. But this one is definitely.... *wow*

a little bit simpler but indefinitely elegant! this is where your tudongs, tiaras and/or even bouquet can actually standout!

a little closer to the typical ones we see here in Brunei...

a grey-silver heels that is to die for! (simple, elegant and hawt!)

door gifts packs, can simmpan sweets / mints in them~

the nyummyness of a monotone cake... nyum2~
grey - purple pelamin.. ethnic touch and plays more on the lighting concept. I *heart* the stand lamps hehehe

the lovely grey bedroom.. and who dare says grey paint for a room is dull?
This will be my NEXT project on someone's room~ *nyeh2*
a little more subtle but still is comfy!

I find it hard to wrap up this entry... took me 1 breakfast meal and a chitchat session with the in-laws to actually have a simple idea on how to do this. Hahahaha well, at least I'm saying something?? Nda jua gantung2 right??? Hehehe to the future bride&groom~~ Remember, the less you spend the better. :D Until the next time.. insya-Allah~

another theme... P _ _ _ H

Salam everyone....

First thing first, would love to congratulate my former housemate, Mr. E for finally becoming a husband to his beloved wife, Mrs. E yesterday. I'm sorry for not being able to attend your Nikah and Sanding this week. Won't be in the country this weekend and yesterday, ada urusan penting with the hubby at the bank. Seriously, all banks are busier than ever this week! It has been a while since I last went to any banks on payday week~ *lol* Somehow today reminded me my reasons for not doing so..~

Other than that, this week is the 'Eclipse' fever~ Me and hubby watched them last Thursday and I am somehow impressed with Taylor's acting this time around. *double thumbs up * I can't wait for the 4th and last movie~ It's gonna be exciting!

Hehehehe ok, nuff abt the movie let's get back with the main topic here.... I'm doing theme in this entry, and from the teaser.. I hope many of you got it right. Yes, it's P.E.A.C.H. The colour hubby specifically chose for our Raya theme this year... *smiles*

You may opt for a simple design for your invitation card, believe me..nowadays, the simpler it looks, the better!

or still something simple and not neglecting the Malays in us,
peach songket like invitation card

I like this room because it shows simplicity and the effects are mainly focused on the lighting. Macam, siang the room will look different and at night it'll look like this~ The room was originally painted cocoa brown with peach lighting effect..

Light peach pelamin

striking peach pelamin by Maszalina Boutique.. loving this!

peach and gold hantaran... from http://rose-nani.blogspot.com

oh my peachy Louboutin!!! simple but hey, it's Louboutin~

I took this pic somewhere, loving the attire for both but disliking the make-up *no offence to the ppl involved* The dastar, like I said, would look much much much better the way they do with His Majesty's. (hopefully he'll wear the traditional gear this 15th July, 2010)

loving the design for this dress and yes, the make up is more subtle. Eventhough the dress is not peach, but I think this will look glamourous with that colour! Indeed!

and last not the least, the peach bouquet... lawa-ness!
My apologies to all if sekiranya terlambat with updating my entries. It has been a hectic half year and hoing for things to slow down abit coming Ramadhan next month. Wishing everyone, the very best of luck with their preps and Insya-Allah will try and update as frequent as I can. Until next time...

Dk25.. kahwin th bh lakas2! :P~ As for me, next week's the 8th monthversary.. nothing planned for that one (yet) but I have to take note that it's 4 mths to go till our 1st yr anniversary.. *sigh* time sure flies fast. I'm healthy as ever... have not get myself jabbed with the H1N1 vaccine. My daily routines have been busier than ever! But, Alhamdulillah~ everything went smooth sailing... and I pray that this will continue on until the end of the year. Still praying and hoping... *Amin*

My experience in planning MY wedding really does help me a lot with my working management and I've never been more than impressed with myself *patsmyselfonthe back* So, how's the preps for the rest of the bride-to-bes? Remember, plan it well and don't overspend.

I've been meaning to post this one up..supposedly LAST week sudah...but as mentioned, internet went gay on me. And behold, the B.L.A.C.K theme..

Until the next time y'all... Enjoy your Friday and Holidays (to some) hehehe...

Purple / Ungu

A little bit of something to share with everyone... PURPLE

Let's start off with purple bouquet... the ever so famous round tied and hand tied bouquet

something for the guests, chocolates!! Everyone's a chocoholic... :D:D

white invitation card with purple deco? niiiicceeeee~~~~

white blocked pelamins are increasingly popular nowadays.. and this one's decorated with the theme colour.. lawa jua bh ah?

dresses, cake, flower pins and corsages for the families and flowergirls... blinging purple shoe!!
I love the purple dress below, I'm planning to make a dress like that (with sleeves ofcourse) hoping for one of my dear friends to ask me wear this colour for his / her wedding *hehe*

I honestly love the concept colour for this room.. simple curtain, simple deco yet it manage to enhance the comfy-ness of the roomm...

Those of you yg planning to hold receptions @ hotels / halls... u may go for this purple lighting effect... (note to all: the original colour for everything was just white)

An evil trick to all ur guests actually, cos as you walk pass them towards the wedding dais (pelamin) ur baju colour lain and then naik pentas lain tia... but you just have to make sure that ur baju looks gorgeous on both effects.. :D

I wish I could plan someone's wedding ceremony now.. I honestly miss the hecticness. PLUS, I would loooooveee to be crazy and wild with all the themes I could come up with. What say you??
