just a little update...

Assalamualaikum all~

When talking about themes, yeah well- I believe I have put majority of the 'favourites' on this site. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to date.. I have not seen any changes in wedding designs and themes. Nothing much we can do with Songket and Laces, perhaps? Maybe so. I have seen people's creativity in wanting, shall I say, 'unique' wedding cakes but mostly ofcourse preferred white and a mix with a another colour. Hantaran decos are still the ones with those white trays, silver boxes, small cages and lapiks... referring to Brunei only yeah~

Cranky? No.. I'm just voicing out my opinions. I'm guessing, nowadays.. hantaran deco boutiques need to go not just 'outside the box' but most IMPORTANTLY, ALL the TO-BE-WEDs to simply go beyond your wildest imagination! Provided ofcourse, charges for the service is ..'berpatutan' .

One guy really impressed me with his works, well... it's a start lah ah, I've been meaning to search for his blog and FB and now, baru tah saya terjumpa. Though I am not so sure whether he does it on his own or a family business. I'm sorry... hehe but you may find his blog link on the right, D'Crystal Crown ..... ... just my rants

A short update from me so as to tell everyone that yes, I'm still sane. Preparation is going on smooth *Alhamdulillah* dearest fiancé has gotten 3/4 of his Invitation cards ready, reason being... the 1/4 got smudged? For whatever reason I don't know.. prolly ada ink spillage arah the printer (thinking positive here) For his side of the family senang sikit cos got list sudah from my future sis-in-law's guest list (her big day's end of the month..) buyuk kan? Tinggal mikirkan name lists for his friends saja lagi...

As for mine? they're ready to be distributed sudah.. hehe~ My closest friends have got theirs' and a few of my juniors... still need to give some prolly by this weekend *Insya-Allah* tinggal sikit2 saja kan menambah2 and yes, the office... will get the invitation cards out early July nanti insya-Allah... I am still thinking of the pelamin theme for our events.. prolly will use the same pelamin saja for the 3 events, play with the lighting and deco saja... amacam? should be ok, no?... pening, pening, peningggg~~~~

I will most definitely go over to my tailor's boutique this p.m to check on things.. oh yes, which reminds me.. I need to call the furniture to arrange for furniture delivery. since flooring will be done this Friday... payah bh, my only free times are Fridays and Sundays... macam haaaaaaiiihhhh~~~ I have to check my baju lgi, confirm pelamin lgi, Dad will nego my Sanding day catering this Saturday so that should be ok... for Nikah and bebadak catering..it'll be catering kg saja... makanan kg kli ah nyum2!!!

My room.. I need to, clean my 'chandelier' before the furniture comes in (mesti berkilat kilau2an... it's a 24 yrs old chandelier...classy~!) sudah atu baru th I get the furniture delivered then installation of bedroom curtains and bedsheets.. would want them properly fixed into my room latest 3 weeks before the big day .. yes (just to ventilate ..bau baru~~) I want my room bau air freshener saja or maybe some fresh flowers nanti ah... ?? hmmmm we'll see... ada saja caranya tu! Yatah macam now.. it's mid-June sudah.. I have to get all those done in 3 weeks.. nope inda banyak masa??

Delivery for sanding doorgifts was yesterday.. yatah family room kami packed with boxes masani... macam org baru pindah rumah th jua usulnya *lol* my oh my..... 'factory processing time th lgi tu.. but that'll be in July lh.. *sigh* speak of which need to apply for leave ni nanti.. I'm gonna take a loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggg break.... don't know what the plan cos everyweekend of my leave atu mmg my wedding functions saja from Nikah aaaaall the way to Muleh 7 hari... so probably will definitely try to squeeze in some short honeymoon-ing in between. When there's a will, there's a way kan???

Yesterday, went down to Bandar to look for a place where we can rent sinjang & dastar. Macam all this while I thought we're only able to rent the whole set, rupanya if bits and pieces pun can do~ Since I'm renting out my accessories at Myzura... so i dropped by to the place lh to see whether or not they hav the desired colour for sinjang n dastar my hubby-to-be. Was planning to go to Roza Rohaya tpikaaaan kmarin atu ramai org bh, well in the neighbourhood atu lh so if ada org nampak heeee~ malu ei~~ Dear fiancé ada cari dh d KB but no luck... doon't know arh Nurhayana tho.. oooo that reminds me, need to go there kan minjam P.A system for Nikah. Belum th singgah2nya dri haritu..yesterday pun lupa me jua.. too excited to see that ada matching sinjang n dastar with my lace... funny though I still don't know y I don't go to Maszalina. Tsk, tsk, tsk.. shame on u B2B!! Then again... I'm planning to hav my bridal bouquet to be done by them sal they do delivery.. hehehe *yay*

Warna apa bisai ah my bouquet ah... my songket is maroon.. and do I need one for nikah as well?? prolly a small itsy bitsy cute bouquet ah? we'll see... ok, going over board there..

Dear fiancé's planning to wear just baju melayu for ziarah (on sanding day) and muleh 7 but with dastar n sinjang ofcourse~ Which, I personally, recommended lah.. cos panas jua tu berziarah atu..and Muleh 7, is just a small ceremony (tpi diri makai lace~ *lol*) ok, ok..u got me there.. small but nonetheless, bersanding jua masih kn..dats y my dear pkai dastar jua. We're not gonna have ambil2an cos it's not practiced by the family (both).. Muleh 7 ? My dad mau ALL of us siblings have the same wedding functions carried out hehehe so ok lah, I'd say, why not?

Aaaaanyways, the big day is coming up soon!!! hahaha for my cousin that is.. he'll be married this weekend. I'm utterly excited for him, ntah don't know why.. it's gonna be just a simple function but yalah, us ladies ani jua yg excited to the max. My sister is doing her best to decorate my cousin's Hantaran (her gift to him, kna suruh oleh my aunty lh jua).. siuk semua barang2 ada. As for mine nanti... my balasan Hantaran(s) ... duit saja buat lh, sama jua equivalent.

I'm gonna be the wedding blogger of the day ni.. will upload his wedding pics nanti insya-Allah~ As for now..I'm sure my aunt is pretty busy with her preparation. Will most definitely drop by her place tomorrow ;) Siuk ne menervouskan cousin..especially if the cousin is a GUY. I don't know what my job ne nanti for his wedding but..let's hope that it's notgonna be a tiring one (bila jua events kahwin ani nda tiring??) ... dub, dab, dub, dab... the clock is ticking on me..

baju, baju and... baju

I can't believe I was sick the past few days!!! My holiday down the drain bh tu.. nonetheless, Alhamdulillah~ Now I only have the weekend to spare.... ah well, enjoy it while it last ;) Not much update for this week I guess....

Me and dear fiancé decided to send over our baju nikah and Mulih 7 to my tailor's boutique. Apa juanya menyuruh dorg menjahit except ofcourse dear fiancé's attire. Ada lain ckit so.. yah! :) :) We have some sort of agreement in terms of payment for the baju.. hehehe kinda like, I paid for the materials, he'll pay for sumthing else lah of the same amount ;) We have yet to do measuring for our baju Sanding.. au bah.. lama sudah inda drop by to 'that' boutique, takut plang ya offer that baju to some other couple.. jaga yaaaa!! So far, after the endless surveying other bouttiques.. none yang ada that kain.... *wishful thinking* It's nothing fancy, simple aja!

Nanti th when me and dear fiancé have time to spare, we go measure2 for the baju... I'm definitely confident that i won't gain nor lose any weight lgi ni.. maintain saja! ;) insya-Allah...~~

survey2 lagi!

Boyfie and I decided to go out for a little bit of surveying today but first, LAUNDRY!!
It’s good to start the day with a little bit of exercising. Menyasah nyentaaaa! Hehehe kursus suri rumahtangga ni secara tidak lansung!!

This Sunday will be my Ladies’ outing so kureng dpt lah kn menguruskan hal-hal kawin2an ani…~ Question is how to tell them ah? Malu alai~ Inda d bagitau takut krg dorg menyamal, I know a few that does… so yeah, whoever yg dtg esok… they’ll be the first to know. Not gonna tell them terang2 lh, prolly just ask them to come over to my place for a small ‘makan-makan’. Boyfie pun nda bgitau his friends tu…happens so jua arh his place dorang celebrate his niece’s b’day…so bleh cover up lh sikit (hehehe)

Right, preparation for your big day needs proper time management. As of today, my engagement day has been confirmed to 25th January 2009. Catering sudah set by my parents, ‘campur’ as mentioned earlier dh my sister bought the packaging for 200pax. Thanks to AkadNikah.com, I’ve an Excel copy for budgeting my expenditures! Excel is the most important thing ni, I have to do all my preps with the programme even for the invitation names tu nanti… speak of which, mesti start jua ni typing.. slooooowly~ Tunggu sound dari daddy baru th implement.

He has already asked me to print out our previous name list (bakas2 kawin my sis back in 2001) I was the Secretary that time, so I still keep the file.. untuk masa depan, nah kan.. now beguna tia!~ Baik jua menyimpan…

AAAaaanyway, tdi we found the 'gold' ring for engagement. lawalah.. nice n simple... klu org meliat tau jua org cincin tunang lah ah~ kna pikir jua mahal! *lol* we got it on discount of 50% then after Friday prayer…we went str8 to Myzura Gallery in Kiulap, quite impress with the accessories and baju2 they have there. Macam2 ada… they even offer mbuat gubahan for hantaran, now this I have to think through dlu (as sisters are planning to do the deco2 themselves) so we’ll see. Batah lgi tu! ;) We also checkout Nurul Huda Bridal, Nurhayana and Citra Idaman Boutique since it’s in the same neighbourhood. Can’t really decide which boutique yg me tepakai just yet… we’ll see.

At 3p.m tdi, met up wif boyfie’s parents d Giant, kan membali tempat nyimpan cincin for tunang~ Found them warna silver and gold *schwing* photos will be uploaded after the ceremony yeah?

After that we go round Batu Bersurat area just doing our usual roundings, sekali yeah.. why not, stop by arh Ruzz Pelamins to check out what they offer… not to bad as well. Hehehe + tempat basuh kaki dorg bisai~~ I loiiiikkkeeee!!! So yeah.. we’ll see on this one as well!

Banyak lagi masa but better awal rather than last minute right?? 7 months prep pun consider ok ni dah.. ada orang ONE year lgi!

Thursday survey

I guess it’s not wrong to do a little bit of advertisement here.

Hehehe went out with Boyfie after work… yeah, normally we’d have this routine of meeting up every Mondays and Thursdays (after work), meeting point would be somewhere in Tutong, cos kalau balik ke rumah lgi it’s time consuming. So yeah, met him td @ d usual… then we went to Katimahar.

Plan was to survey saja, TAPI the type and songket colour pun dorang ada…!! The exact colour yg kami mau!!! I have yet to check the other bridal boutiques in Brunei/KB/Tutong lgi ni. Gladly I came across with AkadNikah.Com and PerkahwinanKu.Biz.. they’re somewhat like an online directory for all us to-be-wed couples. *thumbsup*
